Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Fits my phone perfectly and looks fantastic.
Can you identify this wildflower? I came upon it, past its peak bloom, on a hillside above the Nisqually River near the southwest corner of Mount Rainier National Park in the state of Washington, USA. It was growing along with other common Northwest wildflowers, including lupine, Scot's broom and daisies.

Interesting Capture, Sean. This particular plant, a species of Centaurea, is a Knapweed and is considered to be an invasive plant at Mt. Rainier.
Sean Griffin replied:
Thanks!
JD Grimes
Great shot, Sean! It is Cornflower (Centaurea cyanus).
Sean Griffin replied:
Thanks, JD!

Sean, no I'm not sure what this is .... but I love it just the same:)
Sean Griffin replied:
Thanks, Lainie - I've learned it's known as Bachelor's Button, or Cornflower.
