Anyone driving from Colorado East on the 70 through Kansas has seen the 50's Diner with the old pink Caddi on the pillar. I stopped there and ordered breakfast and a scrambled egg for Lily, my dog. When I found out Dennis Hopper was from Dodge City Kansas, I knew I would include him in this piece. Hopper was a constant in the Los Angeles Art Scene, and continues to be part of art in the emerging LA Street Art. I've written a bit more about Hopper and Kansas on the "Easy Rider" painting page. There's a Kansas map on this piece.. and a Garden City, on the map. Sunflowers are the state flower.
