One of my favorite places in the world is an old, old resort on a chain of lakes in central Minnesota, where this photo was taken. It doesn't take long after sunset before the benches are occupied by fisherman, doing a little angling for Black Crappies with jigs, minnows, and lighted bobbers.

I don’t know if I was born to be a writer and photographer, but from my earliest recollections there doesn’t seem to be a time when I didn’t love taking pictures or penning prose and poetry.
