The beauty of nature inspires my work. I especially enjoy floral photography, still life, and landscapes and in 2010 exhibited some of my photography at the Waterford, Va. USA juried art and craft show. I discovered an interest in painting several years ago after writing a children's book and working on my skills to illustrate that project. I enjoy working with a variety of subjects in my painting, which includes both watercolor and acrylic. Animals, birds,children, still life, and flowers are favorite subjects. I especially love capturing the personality of the animals that I paint through the expressions in their eyes and have done numerous pet portraits.
