Oak Alley Mansion - Black & White, Fine Art Photograph

A close up of the mansion at Oak Alley. The mansion itself is an extremely popular location for weddings. And why not? The early morning fog, coupled with the crisp fresh air and the gentle breeze from the mighty Mississippi provides the perfect backdrop and location for the special occasion. This was taken on a cloudy day with the Sun playing hide and seek. I clicked the shutter just as the Sun peeked through the clouds and the canopy of Oaks to gently light up the mansion.
The Oak Alley Foundation has been doing some excellent work to keep this mansion in pristine condition. The oaks here on this plantation were planted about 300 odd years ago and have withstood the test of time and Nature. If you visit New Orleans, Louisiana, plan a trip here to this plantation and take one of their tours. You will not be disappointed. Check out their website at www.oakalleyplantation.com.
