It all began on April 17, 1968, when colorful and controversial owner Charles O Finley's Athletics played their first home game in the Bay Area. Since then, the Oakland Coliseum has provided a stage for nine division champions, six AL pennant winners and four World Champions. Reggie Jackson, Catfish Hunter, Rollie Fingers, Rickey Henderson and Dennis Eckersley are just a few of the outstanding players who have called the Coliseum home.
