This is an up-close view of the "Obama on the Stump" life-sized sculpture. It is carved out of a red oak log.
About Robert Crowell
I am an artist from Boone, North Carolina, specializing in woodworking, custom furniture, and sculpture. "Obama on the Stump" is my latest sculpture, created from a red oak log. It is life-sized, and its total height is seven feet, six inches. It rests on a 33 x 33 x 2 inch cherry base. I was inspired by President Obama, and thought he would make an interesting sculpture.
