I fell in love with this photo the day that Jan posted it. The cards are beautiful, frame able for a small space. I like that they have plenty of room for writing or doodling inside.

Okay your way? by Karen Cook - a wonderful photograph showing the normal plumage of a young or juvenile male ring necked pheasant and the rare male leucistic ring necked pheasant together. Leucism, is a lack of pigmentation in the feathers of a bird, causing them to appear white or paler than normal. As this male has obvious dark eyes and the red patches around his eyes, he cannot be considered a true albino. In the flock that I follow routinely, there are now five leucistic birds. If these leucistic birds continue to breed and reproduce, eventually they will produce a subspecies of the ring necked pheasant. It is always exciting to see them, so majestic against the white of the snow here in the Annapolis Valley.
