The turkey vulture is the largest bird that we see frequently here in the coastal range of northern California. Since we live on a ridge, we are sometimes able to look down on vultures flying, like in this photo. Even though they aren't considered to be a beautiful bird, they are very graceful fliers. I used electronic "brush strokes" to create the effect I wanted. If you click on an area to see the brush strokes, note that the largest composition I am doing is 33% of what you will see in the enlargement.
