This is a somewhat amplified version of the scene that captivated my husband and myself on the evening of New Year's Day, 2015. The light from the sunset that evening was truly magnificent. As my husband and I drove through this area, and the setting sun tried to peer out at us through holes in the clouds, I urged him to hurry back to the cabin so I could grab the camera ... yes, I'd actually gone out without it that day!! When we got back to the top of the mountain, only a matter of 10 minutes, tops, the light was already changing. But I still made chase ... and this is one of the results. A bit colorful and vibrant ... but, after all, I was wearing my rose colored glasses.

Photographic image captured with the Nikon D750 and the 24-70mm Nikkor lens. A bit of play in Photoshop, which included adding some flying snow to the scene. Well, there actually was flying snow, and plenty of it, just to my left, as that's where the snow-making machines were going full blast.
