About the Image

Opie and Andy Go Fishin by David Arment

Statue of Opie and Andy found in Mt Airy, NC. The statues are repositioned in front of a river on a sunny day. The Andy Griffith Show had a very "laid back" feel to it. Andy could put life on hold and go fishin anytime he and Opie or he and Barney wanted. Picnics could happen any afternoon. So different from our lives of needing to me here on time, rushing to get there... attend that meeting, get the kids to this practice. How are we going to get to the dentist office, when we also need to be over there??? We rush, rush, rush. Andy and the gang, seemed to float through life. Even the criminals didn't seem to object too much when they were captured. Some even let themselves into and out of jail. Photo by David Arment ęDavid L...
