I was setting on the dam of the Nequasset River in Maine waiting for some action. When all of a sudden I herd a loud splash, I swung around to see this Osprey emerging from the river flying towards me, about 12 feet away. It was an awesome experience to be there to see this, to be so close. It missed it prey.

About the Artist - Allen Ponziani

Allen Ponziani

Allen Ponziani was born in 1963, near Boston, Massachusetts. When Allen was about four years old his parents decided to move back to Maine where Allen grew up along its rocky coastal shores. Allen Attended the Bath area schools and graduated from Morse High School in 1983. He attended the Maine College of Art (MECA) earning his BFA in Sculpture in 1988.  Then earn his Accreditation to become an art teacher from the University of Southern Maine in 2004. Allen then labored on as a starving artist, teaching art and taking on many odd jobs while slowly building his reputation as a local artist.  Allen was fortunate enough to be raised near his grandfather, Adam Galuza, who was a blacksmith, lumberjack, woodworker and...
