In 1845, Henry David Thoreau lived on the pond for two years and wrote about his life changing experience. This is a watercolor painting titled "Out of the Woods at Walden Pond. It is cold winter day at Walden Pond and a slight view of the frozen pond through the trees. This is NOT the house Thoreau lived in during that time that house is further into the woods. This house is near the staircase at the entrance to the beach.

This wonderful collection of Waltham sites was launched in 2007 and expands every year. This includes the beautiful architecture of the Waltham churches, schools, city hall, museums, police and fire centers, shops, cemeteries and the famous Charles River, and Moody Street. Rita's followers add her lovely new pieces of colorful framable works of art to their holiday decorations. She graduated with honors from Mass College of Art and Boston University Graduate Program.
