Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I love this print! Her dress is so pretty and victorian and I can daydream that this is me in another lifetime , contemplating life while visiting the sea

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. We live in 2 different cities & are comrades & would do anything for each other. When I saw it in the website I knew I had to buy it. Great work. A big thank you for your talent & putting out there to buy your beautiful map!!!

Just exactly what I was looking for. Next time I’m in SFO, I’ll be sure to wear flowers in my hair! Thank you so much for bringing back all those memories.

Artist's Description
Oven Fresh Buns was created by Parsons graduate Alison Galvan, out of Newspaper Armature, Sculptamold (a paper & Gypsum compound) and Acrylics on a 36" x 36" Wood Panel.
My Grandmother was a very large lady. When we would go to her house for Sunday dinners she always made fresh homemade buns to go with dinner. Taking the buns piping hot out of the oven, quite often this view is what my brother and I were presented with. And while we loved her cooking and were abundantly spoiled with delicious delights, there was nothing quite so dietarily motivating as that backend sight!
As with all of my pieces Oven Fresh Buns has been varnished to protect it from dust and UV rays.

About Alison Galvan
Biography Interviewed by a local newspaper, a collector gives his impressions of Artist Alison Galvan and her work: “She laughs. Heartily, and often. It’s no wonder, the art she conceives is meant to elicit a smile.....That’s the crux of who she is and her art, to make people laugh, to be uplifting.” Born in Vancouver, BC, Canada Alison was always somewhat of a rebel (often with a cause, but more often than not, without one!). Horrifying her far more traditional parents with wild outfits of her own creation, Alison’s burgeoning artistic talents lay in home economics, drama, and creative writing classes, subjects decidedly askew of “normal” academia. Completing high school Alison knew that “regular” university was not where she...
