Absolutely loved my print. The depth and details are spectacular and the quality of the print is fantastic. I framed this in a white frame and didn't have the exact size handy so kept the lower space intentionally open. I love how it came out.

I bought this for a friend who lived in France for many years. Now that she is back in the states she misses France her favorite country. When I spoke with her on the phone she absolutely loved it. It showed all the places she lived or visited. She loved that it had an antique flair. She is getting it framed when she can. This my gift for her to bring up her spirits. She has stage 4 cancer. Artist's Description
This palm was very green in front of intense green shutters. My job as an artist was to differentiate between the organic greens and the old dusty green of the paintwork. The photo of course did not show this at all. I applied many glazes in complimentary colours to push back the shutters, with more yellow in the foreground so that the plants came forward. The result was atmospheric rather than photographic.

I am a contemporary realist painter, specializing in watercolours of the Middle East. It is the light of course that is the attraction. I am passionate about recording for posterity the old buildings that are fast disappearing and watercolour is so well suited when depicting the fragility of old plaster, wood or crumbling brick. I often make a number of paintings focusing on a slightly different aspect of the same subject. I do the same with my still life work, but also use oils and pastels to achieve the desired effect.
