Beautiful print! The only thing I don’t love is the imprint from the wood at the back of the canvas. Maybe different packaging would help?

I received my beautiful painting which am presenting at my speech at Ocean County College in NJ … HOWEVER the ‘ready - to - hang’ is for ‘horizontal’ and my painting is ‘vertical’ …. I NEED CREDIT ADJUSTMENT or resend a new painting asap….
Artist's Description
There aren't many trees in the Paloluse. I guess that is something that gives it the unique look of miles of rolling hills. The few trees that you see obviously have been around for a long time and some are purposely left alone. This specific tree has many stories to tell. Not far from Steptoe Butte it looks out across the fields. It is a protector of sorts. A guardian. It is refuge for small animals and gives shade to many including farmers taking a break from a long hot day of working the fields. The one branch almost seems to curve and wrap over the Palouse as if it is telling it, "I am here to protect you, I am the Palouse Sentinel". This is a Black and white version of my popular color image of this place with a slightly different composition that incorporates more branches. I love how the texture of the bark stands out so much!

Wow! Thank you all for your feedback and kind words. My original intent was for this image to be in color. I did work up a similar composition in color and thought it came out great. Then I realized by working it up as an HDR I was able to pull a lot of detail out of the tree, especially the bark. That coupled with the shadows formed by the setting sun I figured I would see what it looked like in B&W. After working on it a while to maximize all the available tones and textures I think I like this one better than the color. I never thought a B&W sunset could be so stunning!
