"Black & White Series" from the "Close Encounters Collection" Handpainted on WHITE Silk neck ties. Using a series of transparent washes, layering up to opacity. Many of my paintings have 30-40 glazes or transparent washes on them. Initially the colors are transparent but as the pigments build up they can creat barriers to prevent paint colors from leaching. I do not use GUTTA or ANY type of RESIST and all of the artwork is painted with Setasilk or Dyna-Flow paints.
