Paris at Night in the Cafe
Nightime in Paris, romantic with ... texting! Or is he tweeting? My fantasies of romance in Paris have been dashed.

Wonderful photograph of the time we live in --- even in Paris, Mary. Beautiful atmosphere.

LOL... I like your comment about looking into eyes and now texting... Isn't that the truth. :-) Awesome shot Mary... I like your style of photography. FV :-)

I'd also like to take a moment to comment on the irony of the photo, so artistic yet so indicative of crass modern culture, but I have to take a look at this message coming in to my own phone - - - will get back to you soon!

Well--I have too much to say about the subject of texting to say anything at all! It is a great capture--your photos tell stories--voted!

Mary, I just love this analogy, in your statement about looking at one another, and actually participating in a face to face conversation, and now they text. What else could one do while texting? It certainly can't replace true relationships! Love this delightful capture, Mary, and very typical of today's challenges. fave and vote

Mary, I was intrigued by this one, and I find it not only a nice presentation of an urban scene, but also an interesting social commentary on society today. I have often wondered myself about how the communication skills of the younger generation are being affected by electronic devices, when they seem better able to communicate on a screen than in person. Interesting and thought-provoking capture! Voted and my selection the Pay it Forward Discussion of Wisconsin Flowers & Scenery. v

Thank you so much, Cheri. I think young people often miss out on old fashioned romance... perhaps they don't even know what they are missing!
