Artist's Description
A scene from the Incredible Picnic. Bastille Day 2000, Paris, France. The millenium in France was celebrated with the French setting up picnic tables from the north to the south (bisecting Paris) and having a picnic in the middle of the day. I wanted to capture the slightly overcast, cool feel of the day and the wonderful comaraderie enjoyed by families and friends.
About Patrick DuMouchel
I am for the most part a self-taught artist and watercolor is my medium of choice. I work in the Realist genre, trying to capture life as life is, now. I have taken the occasional class but I believe I've learned more from traveling and experiencing different peoples and cultures, studying other artists work and styles, and experimenting with different techniques. I enjoy challenging myself, looking for subjects which cause me to think, stretch my imagination, and help me to grow as an artist.
