About the Image

Parking Lot by Mike McGlothlen

This shot is in a parking lot during a rain storm. I focused on the rain on the windshield. I have seen this a million times but never thought to shoot it. The eye is an amazing lens, I think I'll start listening to what it's telling me more often.

About the Artist - Mike McGlothlen

Mike McGlothlen

Over the years Mike has dabbled in painting, sculpting, & wood working as well as photography. Feeling himself a jack of all trades, master of none, Mike returned to school in 1988 to receive a degree in commercial photography. He then honed his photography skills in the large commercial studios in High Point, North Carolina. During this time period he was forced, with one arm tied behind his back, to learn how to use a COMPUTER. This was Mike's turning point in his artistic abilities, being able to combine his love for art with his photographs. "Welcome to the world as I see it. To smile, be happy and laugh as much as possible, that's what life should be about. I hope this shows through my work and makes you feel the same way."...
