Being in this very long mountain tunnel is a surreal experience, I went from traveling on a sunny day with a bright blue sky, and was transported to this eternal night, artificially lit...tunnel that seems to never end. I'm not claustrophobic but traveling more than a minute in a mountain tunnel started to create an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.
How long will it go? Will it end soon?
Then...breaking through to a bright sunny day. It was a two minute transformation that is an unforgettable experience.
