This is an outstanding piece of work. The aura of Powell River with its resident fishing boats is portrayed beautifully. The vessel “Shirley” is very thought provoking to me personally.

"Passage To The Past"
Original artwork by Doug Kreuger
My inspiration for creating this digital oil painting came from a photograph I took in December of 2013, while vacationing at Disney World Resort, Florida. These doors were in a garden wall, surrounding a tiger exhibit; the Maharajah Jungle Trek - Ruins Courtyard, in the Animal Kingdom.
I marvel at the details in the artistry of Disney's authentic looking recreations!

Doug Kreuger, Landscape Artist Member of Oil Painters of America Doug was born in, Aberdeen, South Dakota, and grew up in Hazel Crest, Illinois. From early childhood, Doug demonstrated a strong interest in drawing, painting, and building things. Throughout his school years, Doug excelled in all his art classes, winning numerous awards and recognition for his artistic abilities. Upon graduating from high school, Doug became a student at The American Academy of Art, Chicago, where he studied commercial graphics, life drawing and watercolors. Doug's first job as a professional artist was with Unigraf, a company that specialized in designing P.O.P (point-of-purchase) displays and display graphics. Doug left that company...
