I can never seem to pass an old barn without stopping and taking a photo. For one thing they are being torn down more and more and the old way of life is disappearing. I'd like to hold on to it a bit longer. This barn has memories of my Grandparent's barn. When I grew up I had to walk by it on the way to their house, and if it was getting dark it was a bit spooky.

Hello, My name is Glenda Barrett. I began drawing at an early age. In fact my sister says I drew on our bedroom walls. My first classes took place at Young Harris College where I graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree. I also studied with two different art teachers at Tri-county community college in North Carolina. I worked for twenty years in various jobs within the medical field, until I was forced to retire at fifty years old with a neuromuscular disease. At that time I had finished a series of writing classes. I still find it astonishing, but with the Good Lord's help I was able to turn lemons into lemonade.
