Love the painting and the rich colorful blues, reds, greens, & yellows! A nice addition to our cowboy/southwest decor vibe.

Beautifully expressed rendition of the Shrine of the Bab. The frame and matting showcase the print. We have it prominently on our living room wall with other sacred pictures.

I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.

Mixed Media & Acrylics on a 20" x 20" Wood Panel
When I was in art school we had one particular model for life drawing that just happened to be relatively petite all over except for an absolutely enormous backside which she proudly displayed on the stand in our class. So, in memory of my wonderful model, whose name I never knew, but who, in my mind I named Betty-Lou, I created "Peaking at Betty-Lou".
About Alison Galvan
Biography Interviewed by a local newspaper, a collector gives his impressions of Artist Alison Galvan and her work: “She laughs. Heartily, and often. It’s no wonder, the art she conceives is meant to elicit a smile.....That’s the crux of who she is and her art, to make people laugh, to be uplifting.” Born in Vancouver, BC, Canada Alison was always somewhat of a rebel (often with a cause, but more often than not, without one!). Horrifying her far more traditional parents with wild outfits of her own creation, Alison’s burgeoning artistic talents lay in home economics, drama, and creative writing classes, subjects decidedly askew of “normal” academia. Hi Stephanie! I use a product called sculptamold to mold the shape, let it dry and then paint over it with acrylics. Its fun to work with although it takes a bit to practice. Thanks for the happy compliments. Best, A.
