Lovely shot! Congrats on your sale.

Beautiful! Congratulations on your sale, Ginny!

Very nice shot. Love the sun behind the clouds.

I have to tell you that this image is almost "painted" looking in the colors & DOF! ... I frequent the area to beach it & to take photographs of various things myself but have never captured the "surreal" look that you have done with this shot! The sun & clouds make it very compelling!

A real beauty! Well done1.

What a gorgeous capture of this beautiful scenery, Ginny! Great DOF and the elements all gathered together, make for a masterfully done piece of art work. Congrats on your worthy sale, and you got my F/V on this beauty!

Beautiful light

Ginny Horton replied:

Thank you! It was one of those incredible sunrises that are (almost) too beautiful to capture.

Thank you very much!

Talent. All Pawley's Islanders should own this photo.

Artist's Description

The Pelican Inn at Pawleys Island is an historic local landmark; currently a B & B. I got this image at sunrise from across the marsh.

About Ginny Horton

Ginny Horton

Ginny Horton forayed into photography in the late 90s, shooting real estate as part of her job with a resort residential community. Armed with her first DSLR, which boasted 1.75 megapixels (the once state-of-the-art Minolta RD-175) , she learned photography through trial, error, Google, and occasionally consulting the manual. Ginny has an eye for composition and light, which is evident in the moods she captures in her photographs of the South Carolina Lowcountry. She would say luck and good software play a role, but clearly a minor one! Ginny lives in Pawleys Island, South Carolina with her husband, Bernie Horton--a renowned oil painter and partner in the arts.
