Photograph of the Pensacola Beach Cross. The large cross located on Pensacola Beach stands high atop a sand dune on Ft. Pickens Road. It is a memorial to the first Christian mass held by Spaniards in 1559 when Don Tristan de Luna, along with 1500 hopeful settlers and soldiers, made the first attempt to colonize Pensacola Bay.

Richard Roselli

Richard is a native of Pensacola, Florida. He has always been interested in art but has only explored painting for a relatively short period in his life. Briefly in the mid 70s when he worked for one year in oils and was a member of the Quayside Art Gallery of Pensacola. In recent years , since 1999, he has concentrated on the medium of watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media painting. Most recently he has included photography in his bag of tricks. Richard paints primarily as a realist and enjoys painting a variety of subjects. He also takes his inspiration from the beautiful vistas and prominent landmarks of the Florida Gulf Coast and his home town Pensacola.
