Beautiful print! The only thing I don’t love is the imprint from the wood at the back of the canvas. Maybe different packaging would help?

This painting emerged when a Dr. told me it didn't matter what I did, I was going to die fMost of my work is designed to educate, give hope, inspire, or encourage women or men, especially survivors of cancer, heart disease, or any other potentially life threatening diseases or accidents. The majority of my paintings are included in the two books I�ve written (will available through Amazon by the end of the year). The first Althea Re-Balances her Life: �the emotional challenges one survivor faces after chemo for ovarian cancer is a memoir of the first two years of my survival of ovarian cancer. The second Dancing Joyfully, With or Without NED: Using Art in a Blueprint for Surviving Ovarian Cancer shares the plans and decisions one must make for living a life perhaps with cancer always on the horizon. Consequently, most of my work uses bright colors, bling, and sometimes irreverent subject matter in an attempt to make people smile, laugh or say �I think she has got...
About Annette McElhiney
Annette Bennington McElhiney, Ph. D. is a former RN, retired Professor of English and Women’s Studies, and, only after retirement, a self-taught painter. In 2010 she wrote Althea Re-balances Her Life: the emotional challenges one survivor faces after chemo for Ovarian Cancer” a humorous description of the “ups and downs” of the first two years after a cancer diagnosis. She was diagnosed with stage III Ovarian cancer in 2008 and given 5 years to live. In July of 2012, she completed 4 years of remission as a result of receiving great medical care and nurturing her immune system to be hostile to any cancer.
