This Pierre de Ronsard rose was one of the first flower images I started to photograph,blooming in its natural environment. Its curved downward bend is what initially caught my eye, stretching out from my balcony in search of the last afternoon light. The delicacy and texture of its petals are emphasized thanks to some subtle backlighting.
