James Aiken
Love the composition of elements in this image Nikolyn. The light fixture, the old window in need of painting and the shear curtain, the opening to the colannade and the cartouche all work well together. L/fav
Nikolyn McDonald replied:
Thank you, James. I appreciate the thoughtful comment and the support.

Nikolyn......very sharp image for climbing on a ladder!...*s*
Nikolyn McDonald replied:
LOL - hand held, too - I always put the camera on burst mode when I'm forced into a position like this - figure it multiplies the chances of getting a sharp one. Thanks for the comment and support, Phyllis.
Doug Long
Real good B&W with good detail..............v/f
Nikolyn McDonald replied:
Thank you, Doug. Lots of detail to appreciate in the facades of old buildings and more interest than one would imagine in small towns :)

Beautiful B/W! Love the composition and the great details! L
Nikolyn McDonald replied:
Thank you very much. I'm kind of partial to open windows with curtains blowing in the breeze, so I suppose that is part of what caught my eye. I have a close up of the King Gambrinus cartouche (right under the window) in my Sepia gallery, too.
