Artist's Description

Holi is an important festival, part of the Hindu calendar. It is most famous for being played with colors, with people smearing each other with colors. These colors give people a very colorful look, but can take some time to come off from the skin (even if using very safe colors), and once in a while can also affect the skin to some degree, especially if somebody has sensitive skin. Some people like to only play Holi with flowers, where they throw petals at each other (called "Phoolon Ki Holi" in the Hindi language), and the photo shows this in operations, where people have thrown petals at each other and this is what remains.
