Tucked away on a country road framing an old gray barn sitting in dappled light was a little hillside of poppies. You couldn't even see them from the road but a friend told me where they were hidden from everyone who ironically drove right by. What special treat to sit there and paint for an hour or so each day until this was done....even more special it must have been to walk out the door of the farmhouse just outside the painting and see these transient beauties when they decide to show up in a "good poppy year" when not many other could.

Creating art is a daily part of who I am as well as wife, mother, and doting grandmother. What I use to create art may change and have seasons for one medium or another but the constant, is to create and explore Godís beautiful creation through that medium. For me, making art is one the times I commune with God the most and where my relationship with Him is intensely noticeable. Itís my desire to always glorify Him with the art I create with encouraging and uplifting beauty and creativity, that at times, tells a story. I am primarily self-taught, living in the Southern California desert, with a year at Philadelphia College of Art and art classes at Antelope Valley College.
