Portonfino is a harbour with typical Italian architecture on the Mediterranean side of Italy just south of Genoa.
A celebrity playground full of Yachts and homes of the rich and famous. This is the west side of Portofino not often painted, I just loved the various color mixes that all the buildings are painted with. Many of the buildings are painted with fresco images of architectural details that aren't really part of the buildings but from a distance look genuine. I personally think they look best once these added details fade or blister, it adds a certain kind of elegance that old buildings should have. I purposely chose to leave a lot of heavy brush work details in this piece to bolster the character of this historic architectural...
