Taken in the Snowy Range which is in the south central part of Wyoming just north of the border with Colorado in the USA.
The phenomenon seen in this photo is amazing! It's the result of wind blowing dry snow particles almost horizontally from light clouds to the south. At the proper angle, the sun refracted and reflected off the tiny flakes creating a shimmering effect.

Outdoor activities and a National Geographic magazine subscription helped inspire Aaron's passion for exotic landscapes.
