The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Artist's Description
Preventing bacterial dormancy, artwork. Proteins (red and yellow) being used to control bacterial DNA (blue, deoxyribonucleic acid) and prevent a mechanism known as bacterial dormancy. Also called bacterial persistence, this allows bacteria to survive in biofilms and cause infections in places like hospitals. The protein that normally causes this dormancy is called HipA (red), but here it is being bound to by another protein, HipB (yellow), locking HipA into a shape that prevents it performing its role. This inhibition then allows drugs to be used to target the bacteria. This DNA is in a nucleoid from an E. coli bacterium.
