This is one of 195 illustrations from the first book of the adventure/fantasy series titled " The Vine Of Hours". I am the author /illustrator. The castle is in lockdown. There are claims from a shepherd that a real dragon has suddenly appeared and attacked his flocks, and as well, even a town less than a day's ride from here, Tamarin. Smoke has been seen in the sky today, that is true, but does that mean there is a dragon responsible for it ? Of course not. Even so a squad of knights has been sent out by the King to investigate. Until they return, everyone must stay in the castle except more knights who might be sent out to investigate these claims, or kitchen knaves to gather food for the Castle's tables. No one else, by order of the King. Dragons fly, and can show up suddenly almost anywhere, even here. The Prince is beside himself with excitement and for the opportunity to prove himself no longer a child by having a real adventure! And it must be on his own, unaided! He is bou...
