Pronation of the feet. Computer artwork showing the normal position of the feet (left), with weight evenly distributed, and a pronated position of the feet (right), where the heels are rotated inwards. Pronation is used to absorb shock when walking and running. Over-pronation can cause injury and should be corrected with insoles.
