Apanaki Temitayo M

Born in Toronto and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Apanaki Temitayo M is an author, spoken word poet, actor, multimedia artist and teacher. Her canvas compositions are an expression of her Trinidadian heritage and spirituality. Apanakiís original textile art piece, The Egungun, explores the re-imagining of Tribal mask with the use of textiles. It was showcased the Workman Arts Being Scene 12th Annual Juried Exhibition 2012 at Hart House, University of Toronto, Gladstone Hotel and The Rendezvous With Madness Film Festival.
