About Donna Randall
I love color! I love to experiment with unusual color combinations and compositions. My work is more intuitive than planned and I enjoy the thrill of a surprising and beautiful result while I'm working. I often listen to music to keep the mind engaged and the spirit dancing. I am based in Ottawa and enjoy living in the heart of the city where I can walk to most destinations. My studio is within 2 blocks of my home so I can transition from "home" mode to "studio" mindset during that short walk. I work primarily in acrylic - both thick and thin - and in mixed media, which includes charcoal, pastels, oil stick and watercolor. I like to layer my paint with both brush and palette knife and work quickly taking advantage of the fast...
