Art by Duy Truong ..................Soldier bees came forward and marched all of us deep within the hives. We entered a hive that was much larger than the others and we could see the queen before us. She was surrounded by attendants that were all determined that no harm come to her. I stood before them while several attendants brought forth their "feelers," ( I do not know what to call them) and they examined me from top to bottom. They made it clear that the others were not to step forward. That was an honor reserved for me. One attendant ushered me before the queen.
She was not at all what I had anticipated. She descended a spiral staircase and appeared to be very much a human. She spoke in perfect English, "What is the message you bear?
