I'm not exactly sure why they call the Reno Balloon Race a race at all. It seemed that nobody was in a real hurry to get off the ground. Once off the ground I didn't see anyway to race these things or a course to race on. It seemed as if they were just floating up and down and around, looking for different currents to float on.
Note that I'm not criticizing this. It was and is a beautiful event. A beautiful event even if I had to wake up at 2 in the morning get dresses and drive 3 hours to Reno to see this amazing spectacle. The start out with a morning burn with several balloons tethered to the ground but floating in the are as they took turns lighting off their burners, sometimes in sequence and sometimes in unison...
Thank you for taking your time to visit my galleries. I'm a photographer that makes his home in Northern California. I love getting out shooting the outstanding scenery that this area has to offer. I may be in Yosemite one weekend and the Napa wine country the next. I try not to set limits on where, when or what I shoot.
I've been shooting photography now for roughly six years and am learning something new everytime I go out. If you see anything you like please leave a comment, I'll try my best to acknowledge it. If you have any suggestions please feel free to share them.
Eventually I plan on branching out to children and pets.
Please come back often as I am continously adding new work.
