The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. Fingers running over braille letters. The braille writing and reading system was devised by the French teacher Louis Braille (1809-1852), who himself was blinded at the age of three. It is a universally accepted system that enables blind people to have access to written language. It consists of a sequence of cells, each of which contains a pattern of raised dots that can be sensed by touch through the fingers. Different patterns of dots represent letters, numbers, punctuation marks and several short words.
