Artist's Description
I read an article in the press. It highlighted the plight of women in the recession, in particular in developing countries. I was shocked at how women and girls are more vunerable to economic forces. Girls forced to leave education and work where boys are not. It inspired this study in many ways. I would be grateful for your comments.
About Paul Morgan
Paul was born and has spent most of his adult life in and around Ballycastle Co. Antrim. He has been heavily influenced by the both the local scenery around his home town and also further afield in the raised bog lands and mountains in Co. Donegal. Paul is heavily influenced by the traditional ways that people interacted with the landscape and its resources, and the sea and this reflected in many of the pieces he has produced. Paul first became interested in art when a member of his family opened a gallery selling works by local Irish artists.
