What happens when you hate what you painted and start to paint over it? Sometimes it gets better than it was in the first place.
That's what happened today. I felt like a mush head all day - by Friday, if I've been going over my limit of an hour or an hour and a half for a painting - like I have this week! - I end up exhausted.
So I started to paint a rag-tag combo of Rousseau-like elements, and got about half done and hated it. So I painted it yellow, then magenta...and all of a sudden, the mood shifted...it was sweet...and I liked it!
So I added a few more elements and presto, it was done! I like it much better than the painting I had planned, too!
If you adore brilliant color and simple form and delighful Beings who play and laugh a lot, you'll probably enjoy what you find here.
I like to think that when you gaze at my images you might start to feel like breathing deeply and feeling like Life is Good; like laughing, or like life isn't so hard - and that maybe it's more sweet than you ever imagined, and that you just want to hug it all around yourself. What else is life for than that?
The prints you get from this site are excellent, and match the images you see here almost perfectly. I hope you'll be pleased when you get any of these images on paper, poster, cards or canvas.
