Beautiful reflections captured on the Apalachicola River in Blountstown, Fl as the sun was preparing to sneak behind the trees during late afternoon hours.
The Apalachicola River is a river, approximately 112 mi (180 km) long in the State of Florida. This river's large watershed, known as the ACF River Basin for short, drains an area of approximately 19,500 square miles (50,505 km2) into the Gulf of Mexico. The distance to its farthest headstream in northeast Georgia is approximately 500 miles (800 km). Its name comes from the Apalachicola tribe, which used to live along the river. I am blessed to be in such a diverse area. Here in Northwest Florida we have the beautiful Florida Gulf Coast and its beaches. We are also privileged to have beautiful inland waterways; which are both home to amazing wildlife. I try to capture the unique essence of this Gulf Coast region and share with you the beauty that I see. I am also blessed to be able to travel and capture those unique images that might be over looked by another.
