This is a painting was done in the spring of 2011 after getting the news that a dear friend lost her fight with breast cancer . Now Clare was 59 yrs old and had been battling the disease for a few years and had been in remission . She was such a great women and would do anything for anyone , even if they were a total stranger . The painting is to represent the exotic , sexual women who have been plagued with a horrible cancer . The amazing thing is that the women I have met with breast cancer , they are true fighters , tough as nails , and the word quit isn’t an option for them . So for Clare , and all the woman who are fighting breast cancer , this piece is dedicated to you and I wish you the best in your fight .
