A large, very old building ... the front porch hanging by a thread, many windows broken, still retains a sense of grace behind her large orange hedges, long overgrown. Original photographic image captured along Route 30 somewhere between Chambersburg and Bedford, (or Harrisburg and Breezewood?) Pennsylvania. I have no idea what this structure once was ... a grand farm home ... a hotel ... or a country store? It's very near the road, but right out in the middle of nowhere ... there is no town here. It's a mystery!!

I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally.
