Everything we wanted it to be, the sort of vintage hue accentuate the office we placed it in. Can not promise we will be back, not often we are in need or market for something like this - If we do get a need we will start looking with you. The Artist did a GREAT job, I am Danish, I come from Copenhagen and I have been in Nyhavn hundreds of times, it captures all it should in a brilliant way.

Excellent workmanship - but I was a little disappointed that the final result was darker than expected. Otherwise, I am totally satisfied and I will put a light on the subject to highlight the artist's work. ~ ~ ~

Very disappointed. The photo is grainy and does not represent the example when ordered. Wasted $500

Artist's Description
Kent Island, Maryland - Restoration of the Anna McGarvey Skipjack.
At one time, the number of skipjacks produced is estimated at approximately 2,000; today, they number about 40, with less than half of them in active fishing. The future of the fleet remains in doubt as efforts continue to restore the productivity of the oyster beds.
The skipjack was designated the state boat of Maryland in 1985.
The skipjack is sloop-rigged, with a sharply raked mast and extremely long boom (typically the same length as the deck of the boat). The mainsail is ordinarily triangular, though gaff rigged examples were built. The jib is self-tending and mounted on a bowsprit. This sail plan affords the power needed to pull the dredge, particularly in light winds, while at the same time minimizing the crew required to handle the boat.
The hull is wooden and V-shaped, with a hard chine and a square stern. In order to provide a stable platform when dredging, skipjacks have ve...
About Brian Wallace
I'm a retired communications instructor/developer, raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (USA). I have a wide range of interests which include some artistic talent. My eclectic tastes, thirst for variety, and preference for images over words, eventually lead me through the internet to the world of 3D stereo in 2005. Since I've been with Fine Art America, I've focused primarily on regular photography with a touch of digital manipulation to better compose the images and ideas. Each time I think I've reached a peak, I find myself crossing another threshold that challenges my abilities and talents while paving way to another plateau. Thanks Beth, for featuring my work in the group, http://fineartamerica.com/groups/abc-group--b-is-for-boat.html

Nice texture overlay Brian -- proper for giving the "aged look" on such a nice boat with a history. I kept an old National Geographic magazine onboard my old Skipjack that had pictures of Skipjacks trolling the bay near Smith Island back in the twenties and thirties. I can't find the book right now but apparently there existed many smaller Bugeye and Skipjack sailboats that once existed than the now larger examples like Ann McGarvey. Anyway -- great image! Would like to see this Skipjack undersail one day.
