Artist's Description
This was my first foray into Surrealism. Inspired by Dali and Ernst, I combined my fantasies for Alien worlds and Acrylic colors to create this painting. It certainly has a weird feel to it - depicting neurotic creatures with sub-surface creepiness. You are never sure what to make of it.
About Sourav Bose
From one of the most densely populated and culturally vibrant metros of the world - Kolkata, the city of Satyajit Ray and Mother Teresa, I am Sourav Bose. Studies often interrupted my artistic pursuits, but due to the encouragement of my late mother(bless her soul) I continued. At about the teenage, I reached a dead end - suddenly I lost faith in any artistic education, did not attend any competitions and rarely painted. Only...

I have never related well with surrealism. The realism aspect throws me off. Yet, in this painting, you have created a bigger than life feeling in your emerging odd objects that creates a kind of planal abstract, which, combined with absurdity, is sheer delight. As ever, Sourav, impressive execution.like

Thanx for your wonderful comments!
