Artist's Description
I use various media and I sculpted this African Black Rhino in clay. I want to raise awareness about the decreasing number of all rhino species. Poachers kill them for their horns and leave the body. The rhinos are almost extinct. For each sale I make a donation to the International Rhino Foundation to prevent their extinction. #savetherhino http://www.rhinos.org/
About Stacy C Bottoms
I'm a painter using oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and more. Watch me paint on YouTube at @artiststacycbottoms. I started painting at a young age after visiting an art museum for painting lessons. My grandparent's farm provided the inspiration for my landscapes and transportation art. After high school I joined the Marines for tuition, and I became a rifle range instructor. That's when I realized how much I enjoyed teaching. Years later I completed my M.A. in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. The Hickory Museum of Art has exhibited my paintings and I exhibit my art online. I've also created art for a published children's book.
