This is one of my biographical abstracts. It is based on the life of Alfred Hitchcock. The viewer is challenged to identify who the subject is by the clues in the painting. Such as the angry birds, stylized movie projector with legs and the dagger with 'Psycho' written in a simple code where you write the word with the letter that proceeds it in the alphabet. Although a simple riddle to solve this remains one of my favorites. Hitchcock is such an interesting character and this was one of my first abstracts to sell.
I paint mixed media abstract art often on wood panel or canvas. I created the biographical abstract which is an abstract riddle depicting a historical individuals life through cryptic clues and code. Recent exhibitions include The Herberger Theater Center, the Harry Wood Gallery and the Rochester Contemporary Art Center. My greatest inspiration has come from the work of Jean-Michael Basquiat, Pablo Picasso and Ted DeGrazia. I have a bachelors degree from Northern Arizona University and am a graduate of Lincoln College in Liberal Arts.
